Empresa Energy is a privately held company initially formed to capitalize on the principal’s extensive experience in the lucrative tight gas plays of the Ark-La-Tex basin. In December, 2004 Empresa partnered with a major private equity player to accelerate its plans for drilling and acquisitions in the resource plays of East Texas, Northern Louisiana and South Texas.

Over the last several years Empresa has delivered outstanding returns to its stakeholders and has emerged as a recognized force in the identification and development of unconventional reservoirs. Building on its highly successful Haynesville program, in which Empresa was a ground floor player, the company expanded to other emerging plays such as the Eagle Ford in South Texas where it once again successfully capitalized on its wealth of experience in oil and gas shale development.

Today Empresa experienced staff is engaged in analyzing, capturing and developing unconventional oil and gas opportunities in all parts of the continental US, although Texas and Louisiana remain the core focus of its exploration efforts.
